Job Summary:

Responsible for the creation of interface(s) designed for end-users. Results of interface(s) should support visualization of data in various modalities including: dashboard(s), report generation and data analytics.

Job Description:

Planning & Design

  • Work with end-users to plan and design interfaces to support visualization of data in dashboard format and in self-service.  Assess end-user day-to-day data needs based on their role.  Utilize responsive web design to ensure conformity to multiple screen sizes/devices.  Provide visual aids such as wireframes, storyboards, and user interface flow charts, to plan and present user interface designs.

Development

  • Create and configure interfaces to provide desired solutions, i.e., dashboards, data analytics, and report generation.  Develop training and education on optimum use of end-user solutions.

Customer Service

  • Collaborate with end-users to create, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain interfaces.  Provide end-users with data display options, software functionality options aligned with their organizational role(s).  Conduct user testing to ensure functionality and feasibility of interfaces.  Provide end-users with communications to assist with usage of interface solutions.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with business and IT decision makers to discuss user interface requirements and brainstorm user interface ideas. 

Project management

  • Manage, coordinate, and organize user interface projects.  Integrate project timeline(s) for implementation with end-user work schedules and IT users.

Education

  • Maintain and update knowledge of current and future trends and best practices of user interface design and human computer interaction.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • Bachelors degree

Specialized Knowledge: 

  • Proficient in JavaScript, Flash, XML, HTML, and CSS
  • Proficient in programming languages-Java, .Net, AJAX PHP, XHTML and Ruby
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs, i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash & Flex to mockup UI elements
  • Knowledgeable of WordPress, Joomla!, Magneto and osCommerce
  • Knowledgeable of social network APIs (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable of SEO
  • Communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Project management skills
  • Power BI

Kind and Length of Experience: 

  • Five years experience in
  • Two years work experience in UI/UX implementations, HCI (human capital interaction), project management, and team leadership.
