Job Summary:

This position performs a specialized type of HR work focused on HR consulting to the business including HR consulting and coaching by working with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues, provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management rewards. Enabling business change by supporting the talent aspects of the organization structure changes, talent integration related to mergers and acquisitions. HR Program advocacy- communicating the business value of HR initiatives managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption. Partnering with the business ops, total rewards, and talent management/staffing on key recruitment and retention initiatives. Applies practical knowledge of the job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include works independently with general supervision. Problems faces are difficult but typically not complex, may influence others withing the job area through explanation of facts, policies, providing data/analysis, and practices.

The HR BP I will be assigned a facility to attend Facility Leadership Huddles and bring back information to Human Resources and to provide HR information to the facility. They will be the liaison to those facilities and their COOs and the representative of HR in that capacity.

This position will also be required to take on an HR Strategic Initiative and/or responsibility to be the project manager of have responsibility for the assigned HR goal.

The HR BP I role serves as a role model for ethical management behavior and promotes awareness of understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the mission, vision, and values of St. Elizabeth Healthcare. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Job Description:

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations, Business Administration Or related discipline.
  • Specialized Knowledge: 

  • Proficient in general operations of Human Resources including legal, Federal and state laws & regulations.
  • Computer literate in an email application, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows Operating System.
  • Kind and Length of Experience: 

  • Two years of experience as a generalist in HR.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
