Professional trained Technologist familiar w/breast sonography for the completion of invasive and non-invasive examinations.Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Associate will rotate between Dearborn and Edgewood locations.
Job Description:
- Performs scans examination per defined protocol.
- Effectively utilizes computer systems (PACS) for interpretation and in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.
- All associates shall follow the applicable safety steps required to perform their duties to ensure safety for themselves and their patients, and be in compliance with SEHC, state and federal safety standards, and JC. Examples of such steps may include: performing proper safety procedures and precautions; reporting safety concerns and incidents; using correct lifting techniques and disposing of sharps and infectious waste properly.
- Performs routine maintenance in cleaning all equipment. Complies with SEHC BSI precautions and follows recommendations for cleaning of transducers.
- Obtains and records patient data. Assists the patient throughout the examination.
- Must assist Radiologist with invasive procedures. Must prep and monitor patient during invasive procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- CPR certified
- Associate Degree, AMA approved school of Ultrasound Technology & AMA approved school of ARRT for Radiological Technologist.
- Certified by the ARRT post-primary certification and registration in Breast Sonography within one year from date of hire.
Specialized Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, ultrasound equipment, QC, HIS, Radiation Physics.
- Will be familiar with all B-mode, real time, and color flow application.
Kind and Length of Experience:
- Adequate clinical experience from ARRT
