Provide indirect patient care to support the Labor and Delivery unit as directed by Environmental Services department. Support responsibilities may include facilitation of patient safety and environmental support activities.Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Job Description:
Operations
- Performs environmental cleaning as specific to designated unit, following AORN Environment of Care, including but not limited to, cleaning between surgical procedures, terminal cleaning, and periodic cleaning.
- Provides and maintains cleaning supplies and unit specific equipment/supplies.
Quality
- Demonstrates Surgical Conscience; understands related sterility, recognizes sterile field boundaries.
Financial Accountability
- Demonstrates fiscal accountability by cost-effective utilization of equipment and supplies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- High School graduate or equivalent. Proficient literacy.
- BLS Certification
