This position supports the Clinical Engineering Department by coordinating service, entering equipment data, managing the database and processing parts orders.Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Job Description:
- Maintains computerized equipment inventory, service history and preventive maintenance schedules on all medical, clinical, therapeutic and diagnostic imaging equipment used throughout the healthcare system to comply with TJC standards.
- Receives service requests and dispatches technicians/specialists. Performs clerical functions resulting in efficient service response.
- Processes and expedites repair parts requisitions and returns for the service technicians resulting in a decrease in downtime of equipment.
- Creates monthly status reports for the Director addressing budget status, current and delinquent corrective and preventive maintenance work orders, project status and FTE status through the use of customized electronic spreadsheets to ensure anticipated results.
- Maintains service manuals, software, PM procedures and service contract documentation resulting in comprehensive service support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- High School Graduate
Specialized Knowledge:
- Computer skills including spreadsheet and equipment inventory software applications
- Knowledge of budget and accounting practices
- Medical Terminology
Kind and Length of Experience:
- Two years of experience in service scheduling and office management
