The Breast Centers are fast-paced, caring environments where the patient and her family always come first. We work together as a team to provide comprehensive breast care, focusing on meeting the emotional and educational needs of our patients. Our associates are the smiling faces that welcome our patients year after year, no matter what their individualized breast care needs might be. We want to help patients evaluate any concerns efficiently and compassionately. Our goal is to take care of each other so our team can take care of our patients.
We look for motivated, team-oriented, critically thinking and compassionate team members who are ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of caring for hospice patients in our community or on our 16-bed inpatient unit. Our hospice is part of a large, distinguished and award-winning healthcare system, which provides support and resources you may not find elsewhere. St. Elizabeth Hospice received 2020 Hospice Honors designation from HEALTHCARE first, in recognition for our high-performance quality measures, including providing the best patient and caregiver experience.
Infusion Services provides injections, infusions, blood products, biosimilars, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, therapeutic phlebotomies and more to our patients. Our primary patient population is the oncology patients who can be treated at five infusion centers across northern KY and southern IN. We also provide care to the non-oncology patients at these sites, but predominantly at our Florence location.
Inpatient Phlebotomists are the face of the St. Elizabeth laboratory for patients and family. Our role is extremely important, collecting viable samples from patients for testing. The work is fast paced, and you learn something new every day. Ours is a large team, with 40 staff members.
Working in a hospital setting, you will interact with every other department in the hospital. We draw samples on patients in over 30 areas/units. We draw blood samples from newborns to geriatric patients. You may work in an ICU or draw arterial blood gases and perform heel sticks on newborns. We also offer opportunities to travel and draw patients from rehab hospitals and other local facilities. You can advance into Phlebotomist II, Lead Phlebotomist and Supervisor roles.
Professional equipment is the latest and greatest, including new phlebotomy carts with laptops and technology to scan a patient’s armband and have the labels/orders print at the bedside. We are often the first hospital in the area with new safety equipment. We offer full-time, part-time and PRN positions on a variety if shifts, which both work great for school schedules.

The St. Elizabeth Laboratory team is 400 strong and offers a diversity of roles and work environments. 70% of the information used to diagnose and treat patient conditions originates in the laboratory, so your work will matter. Together, we serve our support, outreach, pathology and clinical lab teams, along with our medical directors. We value quality patient care, teamwork and a pleasant work environment.
Edgewood – This is our largest laboratory and it offers the latest in automated/robotic technology and a variety of specialized disciplines, including Anatomic Pathology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Immunology and Toxicology. If you like busy and large, Edgewood is the place for you.
Florence and Ft. Thomas – A team of generalists supports these full-service hospitals with a defined menu of core laboratory testing, including Hematology, Chemistry and Transfusion. If you like your hand in a bit of everything and smaller teams, Florence and Ft. Thomas are for you.
Covington and Grant – These lab generalists work alone or in very small teams to support the Emergency Departments and a Rural Access Hospital with a defined test menu. If you prefer an independent work environment, Covington and Grant are waiting to welcome you.

Certification is Essential.
At St. Elizabeth Physicians, Medical Assistants at Tier II must hold an MA certification and complete their MA Tier Testing within 90 days of employment. If you meet the MA II requirements but you are not certified, you can still be hired but you must complete your MA certification within 90 days of employment and complete your MA II testing within 6 months of employment. If you are certified as a MA II, you must complete your MA Tier Testing within 90 days of employment.
Medical Oncology provides services at four locations across Northern Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Our team consists of 12 medical oncologists and eight APRNs. The new Cancer Center at St. Elizabeth’s Edgewood campus will be the tri-state’s largest Cancer Center with 5 floors and 250,000 square feet of space. We are a rapidly growing department and looking to add new associates to our Cancer Care family! Our team is focused on providing the highest quality care to our patients.

The Department of Pharmacy serves patients in a variety of settings throughout our health system, ensuring they receive optimal medication therapy. Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in improving the health and wellbeing of our community. In addition to accepting an adjacent position in Quality (Safety/Accreditation) or Information Systems (EPIC or PACS), a Radiology Tech can receive on-the-job training for an advanced modality (CT, MRI or IR) or dual-modality role. These additional AART credentials can help earn them a promotion within the department. Supervisor positions within our leadership structure are also available, while succession planning is always valued within our division.
The Registration department collects demographic and insurance information from Emergency Room patients, as well as outpatients that are having tests ordered by their physician. In the ER, our registration process is performed at the bedside after the medical staff have already began the treatment process. For outpatient services, our Registration associate is often the first person a patient encounters, so it is important that we make an excellent impression and provide the best customer service. Many departments rely on our information, so accuracy is very important.
Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we offer a variety of part-time, full-time and PRN schedules. We have long-term staff that have worked for many years in our area and others who are working part time as they pursue their education. If you are looking for a role that includes data entry and puts you in a position to meet new people every day, the Registration department may be right for you.
Opportunities in respiratory care at St. Elizabeth are expanding in all areas of patient care, from neonatal and adult critical care to disease management. We have education, critical care, neonatal and preceptor councils that work collaboratively with our pulmonary intensivists, nurses and allied health teams. The Care Coordination/Social Service team is an engaged department within the innovative and highly collaborative Patient Care Service Division. Our division is focused on providing excellent care to the patients and families while also focusing on our organizational goals. Our team is made up of highly successful, compassionate and dedicated healthcare professionals who work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patients and their families have a safe discharge plan in place that holistically addresses the patient’s needs.
We perform all types of echo exams, and are involved in procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, oncology Strain imaging TEE and stress echo. Vascular labs perform all types of vascular exams such as renal, abdominal, venous, carotid, venous reflux and dialysis fistula scanning. In addition, we have new ultrasound equipment for echo and vascular. Our staff ranges from new grads to 43-year employees, all working together very well. We rotate locations, so all of the staff knows and helps each other, and we have a teamwork and patient experience focus.
The Therapy and Rehabilitation teams at St. Elizabeth thrive in a team atmosphere. We have many great facilities that enhance the patient treatment and patient experience, as well as a one-on-one patient care model and many specialty programs.
