Job Title: Manager of Quality Transformation
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Reports to the Director of Value Based Performance, the Manager of Quality Transformation is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, including leadership, personnel management, strategic planning, and clinical support. This role leads the organizations quality improvement program through identification of areas of opportunity, data-driven decision-making, utilization of change management strategies, and delivery of sustainable outcomes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Support administrative duties of department including upholding the mission, business plan, organizations policies, and budget.
- Quality Leadership
-Manage clinical and non-clinical goals in collaboration with other key stakeholders.
-Oversee implementation of initiatives and processes designed to improve quality of care provided to patients.
-Serve as a subject matter expert for improvement methodology, governing body recommendations, and quality performance benchmarking. - Project Management
-Utilize appropriate tools and templates to support the project life cycle.
-Provide guidance on project focus, development, initiatives, goals, and strategies.
-Proactively identify risks and opportunities associated with project work and discuss with project team.
-Collaborate with the Data Analytics team on collecting, cleansing, validating, and analyzing data on collecting, cleansing, validating, and analyzing data. - Data Analysis and Reporting
-Analyze monthly quality data to identify trends and changes.
-Prepare and present routine updates.
-Support data needs for regulatory quality reporting requirements.
-Oversee development and maintenance of quality indicators and definitions. - Training
-Train new associates on quality improvement concepts, data management software, and project management.
- Assist with development of educational materials.
-Share new knowledge with staff, solicit user feedback on data needs and workflow processes, and collaborate with Data team to make appropriate changes that will increase end-user efficiency.
-Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of performance improvement principles, tools, and concepts.
-Share knowledge of improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, FOCUS PDSA, etc.) with key stakeholders. - Attend all required meetings; be on-time and prepared with any necessary information.
- Other duties and responsibilities completed in a timely and accurate manner within the scope of the department as it applies to business customers of SEP and on matters of significance.
- Coordinates with Operations to implement organizations goals.
- Coordinate and disseminate company information, objectives, directives, policies and procedures, and other appropriate information to associates.
- Supervise and evaluate direct reports and other associates as assigned. Provide the necessary resources to develop the skills of direct reports. Conduct annual performance evaluations of direct reports.
- Conduct regular meetings with direct reports to communicate objectives, financial and operational performance, and other defined performance measures.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience in applying process improvement methodology, including techniques such as FOCUS PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, SMART Goals, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, providers, and associates with varying communication styles, needs, and motivations.
- Demonstrated experience in core functions of physician practice operations, including provider relations, patient flow, revenue cycle, quality, patient experience, teamwork, and accountability.
- Must attain working knowledge of SEP practice management and electronic health record applications.
-Previous use of EPIC Cadence/Prelude/Ambulatory preferred. - Excellent organization and time management skills.
- High level of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and produce desired outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, leadership, colleagues, internal and external stakeholders, and clinical and non-clinical associates.
EDUCATION:
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Sciences, Nursing, or a related field.
Desired: Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare-related field, or commensurate experience in leadership of departments with focus on population health, care transitions, quality, or innovation.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5+ years in healthcare, including experience with direct provider and patient contact.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Desired: RN, PharmD, DPT; CPHQ, Lean or Six Sigma Certification.
