Job Summary:

Reports to the Director of Organizational Development and Education, the Manager of Associate Education and Training is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training and education programs for new and existing patient-facing and patient-support associates. This role works in collaboration with the operations and quality teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standards.

Job Title: Manager- Associate Education & Training (RN Required)

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Reports to the Director of Organizational Development and Education, the Manager of Associate Education and Training is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training and education programs for new and existing patient-facing and patient-support associates. This role works in collaboration with the operations and quality teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Understand and uphold SEPs Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Attend all required meetings. Be on-time and prepared with any necessary information.
  • Daily management of the program/team.
  • Define controls, processes, procedures, reporting, etc., to manage the work.
  •  Manage the program budget.
  • Manage risks/issues.
  • Training and Education: Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs to ensure Medical Assistants and clinical staff meet competency requirements and adhere to policies, protocols, and quality initiatives.
  • Quality Initiative Integration: Collaborate with the Quality team to implement training on quality standards, KPIs, and daily work processes to achieve optimal results.
  • Competency Evaluation: Conduct evaluations to measure associates understanding and compliance with clinical procedures, ensuring effective execution of duties.
  • Collaboration with Operations: Partner with Operations to plan, implement, and assess educational programming for Medical Group practices to meet strategic and quality goals.
  • Rounding and Feedback: Routinely visit practice sites to gather performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and provide feedback to staff and leadership.
  • Workflow Optimization: Train staff on new workflows, system enhancements, and best practices, leveraging quality improvement models like CQI, Lean, or Six Sigma.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain competency and training documentation, including attendance records and personnel certifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop improvement plans and educational initiatives based on quality result analysis, ensuring ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Acceptably proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Good Organizational skills.
  • Must work carefully and precisely with attention to detail.
  •  Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, clinical employees and the public. 
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Project and people management experience required.
  • Experience in developing improvement plans and measurable goals.
  • Experience in directing and assisting others in stressful situations in a calm and confident manner.

EDUCATION: 
Bachelor's Degree

 

LICENSE CERTIFICATION: 
RN license

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:  At least 1 year of RN experience and 5+ years employed in a healthcare system

Preferred: 5+ years experience providing training or coaching in a healthcare setting

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Drivers License.
