Overview
St. Elizabeth Physicians is seeking a skilled and compassionate Substance Use Therapist to join our team. This role focuses on providing evidence-based therapy services to individuals seeking help with their substance and alcohol use disorders. The ideal candidate will hold independent licensure in the state of Kentucky and possess a strong background in therapeutic approaches for addiction recovery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions aimed at addressing substance use disorders and promoting recovery.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' needs and progress throughout their recovery journey.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on addiction, therapeutic strategies, and available resources for long-term success.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and patient progress, adhering to all regulatory standards.
- Stay current with advancements in addiction therapy and treatment approaches.
- Serve as a resource and advocate, connecting patients to community support systems and recovery networks.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Independent licensure in the state of Kentucky as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC), or equivalent.
- Experience in addiction medicine, therapeutic counseling, or mental health services is preferred.
- Must have 80 hours of continued education related to substance use disorders within four years of starting with the organization or obtain within two years of hire date.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapy methods, including CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to foster trust with patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
