Job Summary:
The Mailroom Clerk provides effective and efficient processing and distribution of inter-department mail, as well as processing of incoming and outgoing postal mail. Ensures that postage on mail machine is sufficient to meet outgoing mail demands.Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Job Description:
- Responsible for daily processing and distribution of mail and correspondence for assigned departments.
- Includes tracking quantities of all inbound mail.
- Responsible for outbound mailings for all departments throughout the system.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the mailroom including equipment such as Pitney Bowes machine, and other electronic equipment.
- Stamp and sort all outgoing mail that is dropped off to the Mailroom
- Greets and assists customers upon entry of the mailroom.
- Replies to inquiry emails regarding inbound and outbound mail in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Specialized Knowledge:
- Ability to work independently.
- Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office suite of products i.e., Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook
Kind and Length of Experience:
- Previous Customer Service Experience
