The best career is right here.St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse Visit Nurse for the Hospice unit located at the Edgewood, Kentucky location.
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours weekly.
Shift: One 12-hour shift from 7:00 pm - 7:00 am and one 8-hour shift of 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
Driving required; this position serves seven counties.

The Visit Nurse is responsible for the provision of quality care to the patient. The Visit Nurse follows the physician’s plan of treatment and the nursing plan of care. The Visit Nurse is responsible for teaching care needs to the patient, family/caregiver, and reports pertinent findings to the Clinical Care Coordinator. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed. If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence. Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses. Valid Driver’s license.
Specialized Knowledge:
Demonstrates advanced assessment skills appropriate for home care environment, ability to function independently; knowledge of community resources.
Kind and Length of Experience:
2-3 years of RN experience in a hospital or care facility setting.
