The on-site Registered Nurse works at a contracted business (Bosch) to design and implement on-site wellness and safety programs, in addition to providing care to patients who present with work related and personal injuries.Shift typically starts at 7:30am but may start as early as 5:00am to support 3rd shift as needed by Bosch. Shift is 8.5 hours daily with 30 minute unpaid lunch. No weekends or Holidays. This position works closely with Safety Coordinator and HR personnel with Bosch. There is an off-site physician to contact for support if needed.
Performs nursing assessment, planning, implementation and documentation on specific industrial patients and groups of individuals based on their needs for treatment and education. Provides direct acute injury care to patients, performs health screenings at the employee worksite, and promotes health and wellness education by providing onsite training programs. Performs nurse driven physical exams and reports problems to occupation medicine physician directing the program.

Job Description:
- Performs acute injury/illness and follow-up injury assessments utilizing the nursing process and provides personal and work-related care to employees at the employer worksite, under the standing orders or the employers Medical Director. Conducts Fitness for Duty evaluations when requested by managers to assist with maintaining a drug free, mentally stable, physically able work force. (Use SEH Fitness for Duty policy as a guide.) Refer to appropriate resources, (i.e., SEH Employee Assistance Program).
- Administers physical exams and screening tests such as vital signs, audiometry, spirometry, vision, body fat, EKG, drug and alcohol screen collections, venipuncture, flu shots, OTC medicine administration, vaccines per standing orders, based on CDC, ACIP and OSHA recommendations/regulations. Maintains proper records for all such procedures. Evaluates new hires for ability to perform job duties and notifies Human Resources advisor of any concerns. Monitors associate exposures to infectious disease to ensure appropriate prevention, treatment and follow up. Consults with the appropriate MD and/or Infection Control person.
- Assists in FMLA/MLOA paperwork with company representatives, case management or lost time claims and extended medical LOA.
- Utilizes communication, public relations and documentation skills to conduct injury care, follow-up calls to physician offices, insurance and company representatives. Also provides leadership in coordination of patients return to work activities.
- Orders and maintains supplies necessary to operate on-site nursing clinic.
- Performs nursing functions to support St. Elizabeth Business Health Center goals:
- Reduce health care/workers compensation costs.
- Decrease lost work time.
- Develop a healthier, more motivated and productive work force.
- Investigates, reports and maintains OSHA 300 log as per company request.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
Specialized Knowledge:
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, computer/data entry skills, good clinical judgment.
Certification in Case Management (preferred)
Kind and Length of Experience:
5 years hospital or Occupational Health as an RN
1 year of Case Management (preferred)
