Job Summary:

This position will provide support in the preparation and auditing of the 3rd party cost reports. Other responsibilities include assisting in completing credentialing applications for St Elizabeth Healthcare and supporting the reimbursement functions by running various reports using PowerBI. Assist in gathering Medicare and Medicaid audit supporting documentation from Epic as assigned.

Job Description:

  • Work with the Director or Manager of Reimbursement on various reimbursement projects throughout the year.
  • (DSH Audit Survey, Bad Debt Log, Wage Index, and Credentialing).            
  • Prepare for review by the Director or Manager of Reimbursement, Power BI reports relating to the Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare cost reports.
  • Monitoring of the IP and OP price calculations for computing expected reimbursement for Medicare and Medicaid. 
  • Investigate and correct and payment errors with patient Finance and Managed Care areas.
  • Prepare for review by the Director or Manager of Reimbursement work done in conjunction with the accounting department to ensure accurate reporting and budgeting of third-party allowances.
  • Work with consultants on third party cost reporting projects.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of expertise.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


 

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • BA in Finance or Accounting

Specialized Knowledge: 

  • Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Medicare Regulations and Cost Report Preparation

Kind and Length of Experience: 

  • 3 or more years accounting/reimbursement/cost reporting experience.
  • 2 or more years hospital cost reporting preparation
  • or cost reporting auditing.
