Job Summary:

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Asst Radiology Tech for our Radiology dept located within the Edgewood Hospital.

Job Description:

Provides administrative, customer service, and patient support functions for the Radiology Department. Responsible for operating radiology software systems for scheduling, data entry, charge capture, and exam completion. Assists with patient transport throughout the facility, greets patients and visitors, supports registration and paperwork completion, and ensures a positive patient experience. Obtains and verifies required patient, insurance, and physician documentation, including ICD-10 and CPT coding information for billing purposes. Serves as a communication liaison between patients, physicians, and other departments while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Answers and routes phone calls appropriately, follows all departmental, state, federal, and safety regulations, and performs additional duties as assigned. Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills are essential for success in this role.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current CPR Certification

Specialized Knowledge: 

  • Strong Communication skills by various methods (telephone, face to face, etc.)
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must be able to navigate through computer systems
