Job Summary:

Professionally trained individual who produces high quality radiographs and basic CTs for interpretation and diagnosis. This position will also independently perform all MRI procedures requested on a physician order. The procedure will be performed promptly and proficiently. The technologist will ensure all safety criteria are met. The end purpose is to provide quality diagnostic images for interpretation.

Job Description:

Were looking for a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team! In this role, you'll perform all technical aspects of MRI procedures to provide high-quality diagnostic images for our radiologists. Your responsibilities will include ensuring patient and visitor safety, correctly using equipment like pressure injectors, and maintaining accurate documentation of patient data and reactions. You'll also keep the imaging room clean, manage supplies, and follow all safety and HIPAA guidelines. Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • Education and National Credentials:
    • Current CPR certification
    • Graduate of an approved accredited program in either Radiologic Technology or Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
    • Registered by the ARRT (MR) or the American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT)

OR

  • Complete ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) within 27 months of job assignment.
    • Complete MR competency checklist within first 90 days of job assignment.
    • Complete ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) certification within 2 years of competency checklist completion.

  • NOTE: State Licensure is NOT required by the state of Kentucky or Indiana because this job is a non-radiation producing position.
