Prepares, serves, and sells high quality coffee and refreshments in a customer-focused venue.Responsible for preparation of gourmet food items and artful display / merchandising to promote refreshment sales.

Job Description:
- Set up fresh, eye appealing displays that promote sales for the bistro. Stock all food and supplies to meet the needs of the unit.
- Act as a liaison for the Nutrition Department and St. Elizabeth Healthcare when serving customers and associates. Process orders accurately and offer assistance as needed. Communicate in a professional caring manner when serving customers.
- Efficient handling of cash register duties and follow proper accounting and cash handling practices to provide accuracy with all transactions, and follow all opening and closing procedures
- Assemble and prepare food items for the bistro, physician lounge and café as required.
- Operate and maintain bistro equipment. Report any equipment concerns and repair needs in a timely manner.
- Compliance with all local, state, federal and medical center regulatory, safety, sanitation and security standards. Participate in performance improvement (PI) studies; assist with data collection and supports action plans.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification as a Food Service Manager in applicable state within six (6) months of employment / promotion
Specialized Knowledge:
- Previous retail foodservice experience
Kind and Length of Experience:
- Wait staff, host / hostess / maitred
- Cash register operation
- Proven track record in customer service
