Job Summary:

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Activities Clerical CNA for our Skilled Nursing unit located within the Edgewood Hospital.

Shift/Hours: 9AM-5PM, 24 hours per week. No weekend or holiday requirements.

The Activities/Clerical/CNA provides for the ongoing program of activities, designed to meet the individual needs of the resident, including interests, physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.


This position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the clerical functions and duties of a designated unit/program. Utilizes Customer Service skills when greeting patient/visitors and answering telephone. Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a RN or LPN. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.

 

Qualifications


Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • High school or GED graduate.
  • Certified in the state where work is being performed as Certified Nurse Assistant
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Completion of applicable state courses.
  • Successful completion applicable state exam required for certification.
  • Not listed on applicable State Abuse Registry.
  • Must have CPR for the professional rescuer

Specialized Knowledge: 

  • Awareness, knowledge and interest in gerontology. Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate multiple programs over time.  Knowledge of LTC regulatory standards governing activity programs.

 

Kind and Length of Experience: 

  • One year of experience in an Acute care and/or LTC setting
