This position is responsible for overseeing, directing, and managing the activities and initiatives of the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) team. Provides a full range of human resources support including employee relations programs and services. Supports hospital and health system mission/values to leaders and associates. Acts as a liaison and business partner to leadership in the identification of trends, concerns, and resolutions to ensure the work environment is conducive to high productivity, associate engagement, and compliance with governmental regulations. The position is responsible for anticipating, envisioning, strategizing, planning, structuring, delivering, developing, and retaining the talent and human resources necessary for the organizations success. This position will also be responsible for maintaining and developing industry and geographically leading employment culture, practices, and policies. Supporting the CHRO, this position will develop and execute personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations to executives and management and ensuring legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Job Description:
- Participate in the strategic planning process, identifying, planning, implementing, and executing initiatives.
- Maintain professional and technical HR knowledge by tracking emerging trends and employment legislation, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies, all to ensure compliant and leading employment practices and policies.
- Work directly with department managers/supervisors to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
- Manage and oversee the HRBP team.
- In cooperation with the HR Leadership Team, develop and implement the strategic goals and objectives of the HR department and organization.
- Actively engage in the work of the HR Leadership Team, submitting important agenda items, providing meaningful feedback, and following through on action items.
- Coordinate and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons for separation and coordinate and analyze stay interviews to bolster retention.
- Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- Masters degree in related field.
Specialized Knowledge:
Proficient in general operations of Human Resources including legal, Federal, and state laws & regulations.
Computer literate in an email application, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows Operating System.
Kind and Length of Experience: 7 years progressive HR experience and 5 years leadership experience.
