Job Summary:
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Cardiac Device Specialist for our Heart and Vascular Institute.Shift/Hours: Full-Time – 40 hours/week, First Shift Schedule

The Cardiac Device Specialist will provide evaluation and device management to patients under the supervision of a physician. Specialists are responsible for the management of remote device checks, alerts, and patient enrollment in monitoring.
The Cardiac Device Specialist is responsible for:
- Performing interrogations, interpretations and programming Pacemakers and Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs).
- Uses EMR (EPIC) software to enter patient data and provides reports for the physicians and patient medical record.
A high standard of advanced clinical knowledge in dealing with patients with implanted devices is preferred. This position works closely with highly skilled staff, electrophysiologists and cardiologists to manage cardiac device needs.
Must demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
An approved credential, such as LPN, CCMA, CMA, RMA, ARMA, EMT or Athletic Training Certification
Specialized Knowledge:
Successful completed of ATI Jumpstart program within 12 months (if required - see years of experience).
Direct communication with a patient in a language other than English requires the associate to complete an assessment to become Qualified Bilingual Staff (QBS).
The associate is required to complete CBLs and future assessments to maintain QBS status
Kind and Length of Experience:
One year “face-to-face” clinical cardiology and EP experience interpreting, programming, and educating patients on medical devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators OR Completion of Arrhythmia Technology Institute (ATI) Jumpstart Device Training Program within 12 months of start date (a signed condition of employment will be required.
Desired:
EKG Interpretation
Preferred knowledge and management of various processes related to implantable ICDs, pacemakers, loop recorders and CRT/ICM cardiac devices.
