The System Director of Financial Operations position is primarily responsible for: 1) Developing, directing, and supervising the preparation, maintenance, and overall management of the operating and capital budgets, the long-range financial plan, and cost accounting for the entire system. Leads the selection, implementation, and maintenance of the new operating budget, capital budget, financial planning, and cost accounting software solution for the system. Oversees the build of actual-to-budget variance analysis tools and techniques then administers training across system on their use. 2) Planning, organizing, directing and controlling the financial business operations of the Professional Service Division, Nursing Division, Administrative departments and SEP, including orientation, training, managing and operating using financial management skill sets, so as to stay within budget, and be able to make decisions using financial outcomes. 3) On-going efforts for identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and efficacy of enterprise-wide operations (SEH & SEP); identify, measure and plan for process improvement opportunities across service-lines; directing and overseeing productivity benchmarking and analysis. 5) Provides over site and technical expertise in the development of productivity and other statistical reporting functions for Enterprise Data Warehouse.This person is the primary communicator for these areas to System Leadership and must be able to work with and be collaborative and persuasive to senior-vice presidents, vice-presidents and directors on their findings, measurements and reporting.

Job Description:
Responsible for directing the annual operating and capital budgets and the annual long-range financial plan for the entire system and communication to senior leadership
Part of Finance strategic leadership team responsible for transformational changes for financial reporting and management, statistics, FTE and other assumptions, allocations, etc.
Directs ad hoc analysis and consultation as needed on myriad of healthcare finance and healthcare operations management issues that arise to all levels of leadership in the organization.
Responsible for the creation of Board of Director and other senior leadership materials related to budgets, financial planning, productivity, process improvements.
Oversee staff development, evaluate job performance, offer constructive feedback, discipline as necessary, and provide on-going coaching to ensure activities are performed within multiple departments and St. Elizabeth policy.
Responsible for directing the cost accounting function for the system ensuring accurate and timely results.
Leads selection, implementation, and maintenance of operating budget, capital budget, financial planning, and cost accounting software for system. Provides leadership and technical expertise in development of productivity and other statistical reporting functions for Enterprise Data Warehouse and other Senior Leadership dashboard.
Oversees the build of actual-to-budget variance analysis tools and techniques and administer training across system.
Directs creation, implementation, and refinement of month-end and year-end projection models.
Develop, promote and maintain professional relationships to ensure an environment conducive to customer service and high quality patient care, including Community benefit and outreach.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance and CPA

- Masters in Business Administration

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with executives and across disciplines/departments, personalities and skill levels. Sense of urgency and the ability to manage multiple teams and projects while adhering to tight deadlines.
